The old Canton Cafe served me well! After a hard night out during the late seventies I was restored with a meal at my favourite Chinese restaurant. Thirty years on the New Canton Cafe (now located across the street) provides my eldest daughter with her favourite takeaways.
Working after school in my fathers sign shop just around the corner of mainstreet I was intrigued by “twilight time”. Workers finishing for the day waiting for buses, cleaners arriving, shops closing, night lights ambience… I remember the cafe flanked by a department store and best toy shop ever. Time to go my ride home has finished for the day…
