During the late 90’s it felt like I lived in my car and my life seemed to be one constant road trip. In 2003 I drove three-and-a-half hours to photograph a sunset when it occurred to me that the car was of equal relevance. My car had transported me safely to my destination… cocooned in a world with Pearl Jam and Steve Earl.
For me the automobile is inextricably linked to the contemporary landscape, a component that can be found in much of my recent work.
