Meet “Mini Max” a Harrier Hawk nursed back to health by a friend Max after being hit by a car. A broken wing terminated the bird’s ability to survive in the wild and Mini Max became Max dependant! The mutual respect between ‘bird and buddy’ fascinated me. Having the opportunity to view this majestic bird “eyeball to eyeball” was a rewarding experience that I just had to paint.
